Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced and professional Retail Manager to join BaxterStorey in London United Kingdom. As Retail Manager you will lead a dynamic retail operation driving sales performance while maintaining exceptional customer service standards. You will be responsible for managing day-to-day retail activities overseeing the team and ensuring the smooth operation of all retail areas.

The successful candidate will demonstrate strong leadership capabilities a customer-focused approach exceptional attention to detail and the ability to motivate and develop their team to achieve organisational objectives. Social mediaastute and datadriven providing clear direction support and motivation to achieve performance targets. Oversee daily retail operations including opening and closing procedures stock rotation data analysis sales reporting and reconciliation.

  • Manage inventory levels conduct stock takes and implement effective stock control systems to minimise wastage and shrinkage Drive sales performance through visual merchandising promotional activities and customer engagement strategies Maintain high standards of customer service ensuring a welcoming and professional retail environment Monitor and analyse sales data identifying trends and opportunities to improve profitability Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations company policies and food hygiene standards (where applicable)
  • Conduct staff inductions training and appraisals to support team development and career progression Manage budgets and control costs whilst maintaining service quality Liaise with head office and other departments to ensure effective communication and operational alignment Address customer complaints and concerns professionally resolving issues to maintain customer satisfaction

Qualifications :

**Required Skills and Experience:** Proven experience in retail or hospitality management within a fastpaced customerfocused environment. Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate coach and develop diverse teams.   Solid understanding of retail operations including purchasing stock control ordering accuracy merchandising standards product rotation and sales forecasting. Confident in working with financial targets analysing sales data monitoring KPIs and supporting budget management.  Excellent organisational skills. Proficiency with POS systems digital menus and retail management platforms. Strong communication skills. Ability to identify opportunities to enhance the customer experience. Knowledge of health & safety food safety and due diligence procedures  Strong analytical mindset with the ability to interpret performance data and act decisively.

**Desirable Skills and Experience:** Experience in contract catering or food retail environments Visual merchandising expertise Experience managing budgets and controlling operational costs Problem-solving abilities and resilience in challenging situations Experience with staff scheduling and workforce planning Knowledge of promotional planning pricing menu development and menu performance analysis
