Job Summary
Role Overview
The Zscaler Proxy SME will be responsible for designing implementing and managing secure web
gateway solutions using Zscaler Internet Access (ZIA) and Zscaler Private Access (ZPA). This role
requires deep expertise in proxy technologies network security and cloud-based security platforms
to ensure seamless and secure connectivity across the enterprise.
Key Responsibilities
Solution Design & Implementation
Architect and deploy Zscaler proxy solutions (ZIA/ZPA) for enterprise environments.
Integrate Zscaler with existing network and security infrastructure.
Solution Design & Implementation

Operations & Support
Act as escalation point for complex proxy/security issues.
Monitor troubleshoot and optimize Zscaler services.
Perform change management and configuration updates.
Security & Compliance
Ensure policies align with organizational security standards.
Implement SSL inspection URL filtering and threat protection.
Conduct regular audits and compliance checks.
Collaboration & Training
Work closely with network engineers security architects and cloud teams.
Provide SME-level guidance and training to internal teams.
Document processes configurations and best practices.
Required Skills & Experience
5 years of experience in network security and proxy technologies.
Hands-on expertise with Zscaler Internet Access (ZIA) and Zscaler Private Access (ZPA).
Strong knowledge of reverse proxy solutions (F5 NGINX Apache).
5 years of experience in network security and proxy technologies.

Experience with firewalls (Palo Alto Fortinet Cisco Check Point).
Familiarity with WAN SSL inspection and cloud security architecture.

Strong communication and documentation abilities.

Qualifications
Bachelors degree in Computer Science Information Technology or related field.
Relevant certifications (e.g. Zscaler Certified Cloud Professional CCNP Security CISSP)
preferred.
