Job Description
As a Security Officer - Unarmed Rover in Perris CA you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Logistics & Distribution and more. Join a leading team where flexibility meets opportunity. As a Part-Time Security Officer you can build a schedule that works for you and explore new roles using our Claim a Shift platform. Learn more: As an unarmed Patrol Officer at a busy logistics and distribution location you will monitor and patrol assigned areas stay highly visible to help to deter security-related incidents and support access control by checking badges and visitor activity. You will document observations communicate clearly with site contacts and provide customer service with professionalism. What Youll Do:
- Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures site-specific policies and/or emergency response activities within a logistics and distribution location.
- Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm problem-solving manner communicating with site contacts and Allied Universal supervision as needed.
- Conduct regular and random patrols of warehouse areas loading docks parking areas and the perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or policy violations.
- Control access by monitoring entrances and exits verifying credentials and/or shipments as directed and documenting visitor vendor and driver activity according to site procedures.
- Complete routine reports and incident documentation monitor alarms and/or cameras when assigned and report maintenance hazards and/or unusual conditions through proper channels.
Minimum Requirements:
- Have at least 1 year of security-related experience.
- At this site there are limited on-site facilities such as portable toilets and rustic guard shacks.
- Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.
- Be comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21 years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal state and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid drivers license will be required for driving positions only.
