Job Summary

This is a remote position.

We are recruiting an Accounting Team Leada high-level QuickBooks Online Accounting Lead (Pack Leader)to support a fast-growing U.S.-based accounting firm serving multi-unit restaurant and franchise clients. This is not a basic bookkeeping role. We are seeking a strong accounting professional who deeply understands balance sheets accrual accounting sales tax and tip management and who can operate independently without role is suited for someone who wants to take ownership build systems and grow into a leadership position within a high-growth tech-forward environment.

Requirements

Key Responsibilities

1. QuickBooks Online Accounting Leadership

Independently manage full-cycle accounting in QuickBooks Online

Maintain clean accurate audit-ready financial records

Oversee accruals sales tax filings and tip accounting

Prepare and review monthly financial statements:

Profit & Loss

Balance Sheet

Cash Flow

Identify discrepancies and proactively resolve issues

Clean up and restructure books where necessary

Ensure financial reporting supports scalability and operational insight

Strong balance sheet ownership is essential.

2. Restaurant & Multi-Unit Accounting Support

Support multi-location restaurant and franchise clients

Manage restaurant-specific accounting complexities including:

Tip allocation and reporting

Sales tax tracking and reconciliation

Multi-unit reporting structures

Cost of goods sold (COGS) and food & beverage tracking

Understand restaurant workflows POS systems and operational terminology

Restaurant industry exposure is highly valued.

3. Restaurant365 (R365) Transition & Systems Development

Support migration from QuickBooks Online to Restaurant365

Learn and become proficient in R365 (training provided)

Assist in data cleanup system configuration and reporting optimization

Contribute to building scalable accounting systems

A willingness to learn new platforms and embrace change is essential.

4. Process Improvement & Technology Enablement

Develop and document accounting workflows and SOPs

Identify inefficiencies and recommend improvements

Evaluate automation tools and integrations within the accounting tech stack

Contribute to AI-enabled accounting workflows and process optimization

5. Collaboration & Communication

Work directly with U.S.-based leadership and accounting team members

Provide proactive updates and communicate financial issues clearly

Meet deadlines and manage workload independently

Operate effectively within U.S. Eastern Time business hours

Required Qualifications

Bachelors degree in Accounting Finance or a related field

CPA ACCA or equivalent professional certification

Minimum 3 years of hands-on accounting or bookkeeping experience

Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel / Google Sheets

Excellent written and spoken English

Demonstrated strength in core accounting fundamentals (accruals reconciliations

balance sheet management)

Advanced proficiency in QuickBooks Online

Ability to independently analyze and review financial statements

Strong understanding of U.S. accounting best practices (GAAP familiarity preferred)

High attention to detail and accuracy

Ability to work independently in a remote environment

Restaurant franchise or hospitality industry exposure

Interest in AI automation and emerging accounting technologies

Familiarity with POS systems and restaurant operations

Proven accounting capability and performance are prioritized.

Qualifications

Experience supporting U.S.-based accounting clients

Exposure to Restaurant365 (R365) or strong willingness to learn

Experience in fast-growing or startup environments
