Job Description
As a Security Officer - Roving Rounds in Petersburg VA you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Healthcare and more. As an Unarmed Patrol Officer with Allied Universal at a healthcare location you will monitor and patrol assigned areas complete routine rounds and remain highly visible to help deter security-related incidents. You will support staff patients and visitors with calm customer service clear communication and timely reporting. What Youll Do:
- Provide customer service to staff patients and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures site-specific policies and when appropriate emergency response activities in a healthcare location.
- Conduct regular and random patrols throughout assigned areas including entrances waiting areas corridors parking areas and perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and identify unusual conditions.
- Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm problem-solving manner including assisting with de-escalation reporting hazards and coordinating with clinical staff and/or local emergency responders as directed.
- Monitor access points and assist with visitor management such as greeting providing directions verifying authorization and supporting controlled access to restricted areas per site policy.
- Complete detailed incident reports and daily activity logs communicate observations to supervisors and site contacts and support security-related audits such as badge checks and key control as assigned.
Minimum Requirements:
- Be at least 21 years of age.
- A guard card and/or license is preferred.
- CPR and/or First Aid certification is preferred.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21 years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal state and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid drivers license will be required for driving positions only.
