Job Description
As a Security Officer - Gatehouse Driver in Houston TX you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Chemical/Petrochemical and more. As an Access Control Officer at a chemical and petrochemical location you will help manage entrances and vehicle gates verify credentials support visitor processing and conduct routine patrols while staying visible to help reduce security-related incidents. You will document activity communicate clearly with site teams and deliver customer service with integrity. This is a driving post requiring a valid drivers license and you will support an agile reliable and innovative team culture.

What Youll Do:
- Provide customer service to site personnel and visitors by following security-related procedures site-specific policies and/or emergency response activities at an industrial location.
- Operate access control functions by checking identification managing visitor registration issuing temporary badges when authorized and directing traffic to approved entry points.
- Monitor and document vehicle and pedestrian entry and exit verify deliveries and contractor access against approved lists and report discrepancies according to post orders.
- Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm problem-solving manner including initiating notifications and coordinating with site contacts and/or emergency services as directed.
- Conduct regular and random patrols of designated areas such as gate lanes staging areas and perimeter points and complete required reports for unusual activity hazards and/or maintenance issues.
Minimum Requirements:
- A valid drivers license is required in the state where the job is located.
- A TSA Issued TWIC is required.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21 years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal state and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid drivers license will be required for driving positions only.
