Job Description
As a Security Guard - Mobile Patrol in Leesburg VA you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries. As an unarmed patrol officer at a high-tech data center location you will monitor and patrol assigned areas complete routine rounds and stay highly visible to help reduce security-related incidents. You will use a computer and/or tablet to document activity communicate clearly with teams on site and provide a professional customer service experience for staff and visitors. What Youll Do:
- Provide customer service to personnel and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures site-specific policies and when appropriate emergency response activities.
- Conduct regular and random patrols of interior areas exterior grounds and perimeter points to help to deter unauthorized activity; working environments and conditions may vary by location.
- Monitor access points and critical areas verify identification and/or authorization as required and direct visitors and contractors according to site procedures.
- Respond to alarms calls for service and unusual activity in a calm problem-solving manner; notify site contacts and/or public response partners when required.
- Complete daily activity reports and incident documentation communicate shift updates and assist with security-related investigations as directed.
Minimum Requirements:
- A Guard Card/License is preferred.
- Being comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
- Customer service experience is preferred.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21 years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal state and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid drivers license will be required for driving positions only.
