Job Description
As a Security Officer - Armed Patrol Officerin Hollywood FL you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Healthcare and more. As an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a busy healthcare location you will monitor and patrol assigned areas conduct routine rounds and remain highly visible to help discourage security-related incidents. You will greet patients visitors and staff with professionalism communicate clearly and document noteworthy activity. What Youll Do:
- Provide customer service to staff patients and visitors by following Allied Universal security-related procedures location-specific policies and when appropriate emergency response activities within a healthcare setting.
- Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm problem-solving manner including assisting with de-escalation coordinating with clinical staff and contacting law enforcement and/or emergency services as directed by post orders.
- Conduct regular and random patrols of corridors waiting areas entrances parking areas and the perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and to identify hazards and/or suspicious conditions.
- Support access control by monitoring entry points verifying credentials as required assisting with visitor check-in directions and/or wayfinding and documenting access issues per site procedures.
- Complete detailed incident reports shift logs and patrol documentation and communicate timely updates to site leadership and Allied Universal management using approved reporting tools.
Minimum Requirements:
- Have at least 1 year of armed security law enforcement and/or military experience.
- Be at least 21 years of age.
- Customer service experience is preferred.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21 years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal state and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid drivers license will be required for driving positions only.
