Job Description
As a Security Officer - Unarmed Patrol Walks in New York NY you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Commercial Real Estate and more. As an unarmed Patrol Officer at a commercial real estate location you will monitor and patrol assigned areas complete routine rounds remain highly visible to help to deter security-related incidents and support access control and visitor activity. You will deliver customer-focused service and clear communication while documenting observations and escalating concerns. What Youll Do:
- Provide customer service to clients tenants vendors and/or visitors by following Allied Universal post orders site-specific policies and security-related procedures including emergency response activities when appropriate.
- Respond to incidents alarms and critical situations in a calm problem-solving manner documenting actions taken and notifying site contacts and/or public responders as required.
- Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols of interior and exterior areas including common areas parking areas and perimeter points to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify maintenance or access concerns.
- Control access at designated entry points by verifying credentials managing visitor check-in issuing temporary passes and/or directing individuals to the appropriate location.
- Complete routine reports and logs monitor cameras and/or other building systems as assigned and communicate updates to site management and Allied Universal leadership.
Minimum Requirements:
- A guard card/license is preferred.
- Being comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
- Customer service experience is preferred.
- CPR certification is preferred.
- Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21 years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal state and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid drivers license will be required for driving positions only.
