Job Description
As a Security Officer - Chemical Access Badge in Sulphur LA you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Chemical/Petrochemical and more. As an Access Control Officer with Allied Universal in a chemical and petrochemical location you will monitor and patrol designated areas help to deter security-related incidents and support a secure environment. You will conduct routine patrols manage access points and interact with visitors and staff providing exceptional customer service. This position requires a valid drivers license as driving responsibilities are part of the role.

What Youll Do:
- Monitor and control access points to help to deter unauthorized entry into the chemical and petrochemical location.
- Verify identification and credentials of individuals entering or exiting the premises in accordance with site-specific policies and procedures.
- Assist with visitor management including logging and badging to support security-related protocols.
- Observe and report any suspicious activity or security-related incidents to Allied Universal management and/or site leadership.
- Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm problem-solving manner following established emergency response protocols.
- Conduct regular and random patrols around the business and perimeter to help to deter security-related risks noting any irregularities or hazards.
- Provide customer service to site personnel and visitors by answering questions and offering directions as needed.
- Maintain accurate and detailed records of all access control activities incidents and patrols as required by Allied Universal and client guidelines.
Minimum Requirements:
- A valid drivers license is required in the state where the job is located.
- Applicants must have 1 or more years of law enforcement experience or 2 or more years of security supervisor or manager experience or 3 or more years of security-related experience.
- Applicants with access control or badge experience are preferred.
- Applicants who are comfortable using a computer or tablet are preferred.
- At this site there are limited on-site facilities such as portable toilets and rustic guard shacks.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21 years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal state and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid drivers license will be required for driving positions only.
