Lead Access Control Technician

Job Description:
As a Lead Access Control Technician you will be responsible for leading installation teams ensuring high-quality workmanship and providing technical expertise for access control security and surveillance system projects. This role requires strong problem-solving skills leadership abilities and a commitment to delivering excellent customer service.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and oversee the installation programming and maintenance of access control CCTV and security systems.
• Read and interpret blueprints schematics and technical manuals to ensure proper installation.
• Perform troubleshooting and repairs on access control hardware wiring and software.
• Coordinate with project managers contractors and clients to ensure successful project completion.
• Supervise and train junior technicians to maintain quality standards.
• Ensure all work complies with industry standards local codes and safety regulations.
• Maintain accurate documentation of installations service calls and maintenance activities.
• Provide on-site customer support and training on system operations.

Qualifications:

• 3 years of experience in access control security systems or low-voltage installation.
• Strong knowledge of access control systems such as Avigilon Verkada Lenel AMAG Genetec Honeywell or similar.
• Experience with cabling wiring and troubleshooting electronic security devices.
• Ability to read and understand blueprints schematics and technical documentation.
• Leadership or supervisory experience is preferred.
• Low Voltage or Security System certifications (such as NICET BICSI or manufacturer-specific certifications) are a plus.
• Strong communication and organizational skills.
• Must have a valid drivers license and the ability to pass a background check and drug screening.
