Job Description
As a Security Officer - Badge Checkpoint in York PA you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Distribution Centers and more. Join a leading team where flexibility meets opportunity. As a Part-Time Security Officer you can build a schedule that works for you and explore new roles using our Claim a Shift platform. Learn more: As an Access Control Officer at a Distribution Center you will help manage entry points verify credentials issue and track badges and support visitor and staff check-in. You will monitor alarms and access activity complete routine patrols and stay visible to help reduce security-related incidents while delivering professional customer service. What Youll Do:
- Provide customer service to guests staff vendors and/or contractors while following site-specific security-related procedures and access requirements at a cultural institution location.
- Control entry and exit points by verifying identification issuing visitor credentials maintaining visitor logs and directing authorized individuals to appropriate areas.
- Monitor cameras alarms and/or access control systems and report irregular activity policy violations and/or maintenance concerns per post orders.
- Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm problem-solving manner including notifying site leadership and/or emergency responders as required.
- Conduct regular and random patrols of public areas galleries back-of-house spaces and perimeter areas to help to deter unauthorized access and/or suspicious activity.
Minimum Requirements:
- Access Control/Badge Experience is preferred.
- Alarm Panel Experience is preferred.
- Customer Service Experience is preferred.
- Comfortable Using Computer or Tablet is preferred.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21 years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal state and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid drivers license will be required for driving positions only.
