As a Security Officer - Unarmed Patrol Post in Chicago IL you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Healthcare and more. As an unarmed Patrol Officer in a healthcare location you will monitor and patrol assigned areas conduct routine rounds support access control and visitor flow and report security-related concerns with clear professional communication. You will stay visible to help reduce unwanted activity while delivering customer-focused service to patients staff and guests. What Youll Do:

• Provide customer service to staff patients and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures location-specific policies and when appropriate emergency response activities within a healthcare setting.
• Respond to incidents alarms and critical situations in a calm problem-solving manner including de-escalation support and timely notification to appropriate personnel.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of buildings corridors parking areas and the perimeter observing for unusual activity and conditions that may help to deter unwanted behavior.
• Monitor access points and common areas assist with visitor directions and support adherence to location rules regarding authorized access and restricted areas.
• Complete patrol and incident reports maintain activity logs and communicate observations to Allied Universal leadership and/or site contacts as needed.

Minimum Requirements:

• Client requires proof of high school diploma or GED.
• Being comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• CPR certification is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal state and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid drivers license will be required for driving positions only.
