Job Description
As a Security Officer - Unarmed Rover in Santa Clara CA you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Manufacturing & Industrial and more. Join a leading team where flexibility meets opportunity. As a Part-Time Security Officer you can build a schedule that works for you and explore new roles using our Claim a Shift platform. Learn more: As an unarmed patrol officer at a manufacturing and industrial location you will conduct routine foot and vehicle patrols maintain a visible presence to help to deter security-related incidents and support access control while assisting employees and visitors with professionalism. What Youll Do:
- Provide customer service to site personnel and visitors by following Allied Universal security-related procedures site-specific policies and when appropriate emergency response activities.
- Conduct regular and random patrols of production areas warehouses parking areas and perimeter fencing to help to deter unauthorized access and/or suspicious activity.
- Monitor access points and assist with visitor check-in contractor verification and delivery and/or shipping receiving traffic as directed by post orders.
- Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm problem-solving manner including initiating notifications and assisting with site evacuation and/or shelter procedures when directed.
- Complete routine patrol logs and incident reports and communicate observations and/or hazards to site leadership and Allied Universal supervision.
Minimum Requirements:
- Have at least 1 year of security-related experience.
- A guard card and/or license is preferred.
- Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.
- Customer service experience is preferred.
- Be comfortable using a computer and/or tablet is preferred.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21 years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal state and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid drivers license will be required for driving positions only.
