Job Description
As a Security Guard - Flex Mobile Patrol in Shelbyville IN you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Manufacturing & Industrial and more. Join a leading team where flexibility meets opportunity. As a Flex Part-Time Security Officer you can build a schedule that works for you and explore new roles using our Claim a Shift platform. Learn more: As an unarmed Patrol Officer at a manufacturing and industrial location you will monitor and patrol assigned areas conduct routine rounds and stay visible to help reduce security-related incidents. You will document observations communicate clearly with site contacts and your Allied Universal team and respond to routine requests with a customer-first approach. What Youll Do:
- Provide customer service to personnel and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures site-specific policies and when appropriate emergency response activities at a manufacturing and industrial location.
- Respond to incidents alarms hazards and critical situations in a calm problem-solving manner escalating to site contacts and/or public services as directed by post orders.
- Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols of production areas warehouses offices parking areas and the perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and identify maintenance or operational concerns.
- Control access at gates and/or entry points by checking identification verifying authorizations directing traffic flow and documenting arrivals and departures per site procedures.
- Complete detailed shift documentation including patrol logs incident reports and pass-down notes using Allied Universal report-writing tools and client-required systems.
Minimum Requirements:
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21 years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal state and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid drivers license will be required for driving positions only.
