Job Description
As a Security Officer - Unarmed Perimeter Watch in Chicago IL you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Commercial Real Estate and more. As an unarmed patrol officer at a commercial real estate location you will monitor and patrol assigned areas conduct routine rounds and maintain a visible presence that helps to deter security-related incidents. You will document observations communicate clearly with tenants and property staff and deliver customer service with professionalism. What Youll Do:
- Provide customer service to tenants visitors and/or contractors while following Allied Universal site-specific policies and security-related procedures at a commercial property.
- Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols of building areas common spaces parking areas and perimeter points to help to deter unwanted activity and identify hazards or maintenance concerns.
- Monitor access points and observe people and activity on site reporting irregular conditions and/or policy violations per post orders.
- Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm problem-solving manner including contacting property management and/or emergency services when appropriate.
- Complete routine reports patrol logs and incident documentation; communicate pertinent updates to oncoming personnel and site representatives.
Minimum Requirements:
- Client requires proof of high school diploma and/or GED.
- Be 21 years of age.
- Have 5 years of security experience.
- A guard card and/or license is preferred.
- Being comfortable using a computer and/or tablet is preferred.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21 years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal state and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid drivers license will be required for driving positions only.
