Job Summary
Brief Overview of Position:
Strategic Operational Solutions Inc. (STOPSO) seeks a Computer Systems Engineer/Architect to provide design engineering integration and technical support for mission-critical IT systems in support of a Military Customer. This position is responsible for contributing to the planning implementation and optimization of network architectures supporting system lifecycles and providing technical improvements and solutions aligned with evolving operational requirements and Service Level Agreements. The engineer supports the technical refresh of IT infrastructure including Virtual Desktop Infrastructure (VDI) and ensures all changes are compliant with Federal DoD and Military Customer security and interoperability standards
Required Qualifications Education Experience and Certifications:
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in systems engineering or IT architecture
- Demonstrated experience designing optimizing and implementing complex systems and VDI environments
- Experience supporting requirements gathering technical documentation and stakeholder coordination
- SecurityCE ITIL Foundation v3 or v4 certification required
- Security Clearance Requirement
- Active Top Secret or Active SECRET with ability to gain a Top Secret clearance
Preferred Experience Skills and Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree in Computer Science Engineering Information Technology or related discipline
- Experience with Microsoft platforms and DoD Architecture Frameworks (DoDAF) preferred
- PMP MCP MCSE or equivalent certifications
- Prior experience with Federal or Defense IT operations and technical refresh
- Experience developing operational efficiencies and improving total cost of ownership
- Strong problem solving analytical and collaboration skills
