Job Summary
Mission Hospitallocatedin Asheville North Carolina is excited to welcome aseasoned/experienced Trauma Medical Director / acute care surgeonto our busy ACS Level 1 program.
Qualified Candidates:
Board certified in General Surgery
Board certifiedin Surgical Critical Care
ATLS certification
Excellent interpersonal & communication skills
Must have experience as Medical Director or Associate Medical Director in a Level I or II Trauma Center
Willingness to perform inhybridrole with minimum 40% administrative duties/responsibilities
Please note that this position does not offer visa support
Program Highlights:
Team covers equal mix oftrauma surgicalcriticalcareand emergency general surgery
No 24-hour shift requirement; day shifts are 10.5 hours; nights are 13.5
Largestableand established group; worked together for many years; Minimal turnover
Close team collaborationsupportand coverage including time-off requests
Surgical residency offers opportunity to teach
Resident support on trauma surgical critical care and emergency general surgery services
APP support on trauma surgical critical care and emergency general surgery services
Research support offered locally and through HCAs National Center Trauma and Acute Care Surgery Research
