Job Summary

The UMB Private Wealth Relationship Manager (PWMRM) is responsible for building and managing client relationships with Private Wealths ultra-high net worth Trust market segment. The PWMRM will grow and service an existing book of clients including many of PWMs high-profile and more complex client relationships in particular those requiring complex trust administration. This role will identify opportunities in the ultra-high net worth market segment to develop centers-of-influence (both internal and external) as resources and develop networks with other lines of business to provide financial solutions for clients. The PWMRM will ensure the delivery of the unparalleled customer experience (TUCE) to our most highly-complex and high-value clients Trust and Investment Management accounts. Duties will include the following:

  • Source and develop high-net-worth client relationships through networking referrals and targeted outreach.
  • Steer administration of Clients wealth and trust accounts by being trusted partner
  • Lead high performance service delivery to clients by coordinating team delivering services
  • Manage and expand high-profile client relationships
  • Provide proactive solution-oriented planning for clients and coordination of wealth strategy planning goals and objectives.
  • Lead a proactive high-touch communication plan for all clients
  • Provide wealth management subject matter expertise
  • Participate in and attend meetings and functions as assigned
  • Create and lead presentations to external and internal COIs on estate planning techniques for ultra-high-net-worth individuals.
  • Other duties as assigned
  • Serves as the primary driver of new trust relationships for the market
  • Coordinates and assigns the team members of new trust relationships transitioning those accounts to those team members

Requirements

MINIMUM:

  • Bachelors degree
  • 10 years experience in wealth management for HNW and UHNW clients
  • Or combination of education and experience that provides an equivalent background.

PREFERRED:

  • One or more of the following credentials: MBA CFA CFP CPA CTFA or JD
  • Supervisory or team leadership experience
  • 5 years in demonstrated sales position

Knowledge & Skills

MINIMUM:

  • Experience in Complex Trust Administration
  • Business Development & COI Development
  • Strong Leadership Skills
  • High level of emotional intelligence
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills
  • Expert on wealth management issues pertinent to UHNW families
  • Strong relationship management skills
  • Ability to address client concerns and needs
  • Demonstrates understanding of investment strategies utilized by UHNW clients
  • Demonstrates understanding of tax challenges of UHNW clients
  • Familiarity with wealth management products and estate planning solutions including trusts and administration member and manager managed LLCs and Limited Partnerships and asset management
  • Demonstrates extensive knowledge of Trust and Bank products and services (i.e. investments insurance brokerage private banking retirement planning)
  • Ability to identify and find solutions for unique assets of UHNW client including commercial properties LLCs oil and gas alternative energy ranch and farm properties

PREFERRED:

  • Active in community and professional organizations; considered a leader in the community.
  • Experience drafting complex estate plans for ultra-high-net-worth individuals.

Work Environment

Hybrid. Travel as needed.

Supervision/Management: No direct management responsibilities

Compensation Range:

$99750.00 - $214370.00
