Job Summary

Director of Equipment OperationsDestination Geneva National is seeking an experienced Director of Equipment Operations to lead and elevate equipment performance across our multi-course directly to the Director of Grounds this role provides operational leadership for all equipment maintenance functions ensuring our fleet facilities and teams consistently support championship-level playing is not simply a mechanical role. We are looking for a leader who builds systems develops people sets performance standards and creates accountability across the entire equipment This Role Is DifferentProperty-Wide LeadershipOversee equipment maintenance operations across multiple courses and facilities leading a team of technicians while establishing consistent standards and AuthorityDirect the day-to-day performance preventative maintenance systems shop organization safety programs and fleet readiness for all turf with Grounds LeadershipWork closely with the Director of Grounds to align equipment performance with agronomic priorities tournament preparation and seasonal operational & Team DevelopmentMentor direct reports which may include an equipment manager mechanic assistant mechanic and/or apprentice implement training systems establish clear expectations and build a culture of professionalism and -Level StandardsEnsure precision mower setup reel quality and equipment performance that consistently support premier playing ResponsibilitiesLead all equipment maintenance operations across the propertySupervise and develop equipment managers and technician teamsEstablish preventive maintenance programs and performance benchmarksEnsure fleet readiness to meet daily operations and tournament-level standardsManage departmental operating budget parts inventory and supply controlsOversee shop organization cleanliness and safety complianceStandardize reel setup mower quality control and equipment documentationCoordinate vendor relationships and service partnershipsCollaborate with agronomy leadership on operational planning and schedulingIdentify process improvements that increase efficiency and reduce downtimeWho Were Looking ForA seasoned equipment professional who:Has significant experience managing golf course equipment operationsHas successfully led teams and developed techniciansUnderstands tournament-level expectations and precision standardsThrives in a structured process-driven environmentCommunicates clearly and builds strong working relationshipsTakes pride in organization safety and continuous improvementQualificationsMinimum 10 years of progressive experience in turf equipment managementPrior supervisory or multi-team leadership experience requiredStrong mechanical expertise in:Hydraulic and electrical systemsGasoline and diesel enginesReel grinding mower setup and precision adjustmentsSpecialized turf equipment (aerifiers verticutters sprayers etc.)Experience preparing equipment for professional or championship-level play preferredKnowledge of business practices related to golf course operationsStrong organizational and communication skillsThe OpportunityThis role is ideal for an experienced Equipment Manager ready to step into broader leadership influencing systems elevating standards and developing people across an entire you are ready to move beyond managing a shop and into leading an equipment operation that directly supports premier golf experiences we invite you to apply.
