The Position:

Holland Bloorview Kids Rehabilitation Hospital Foundation launched Together We Dare the largest campaign for childhood disability in history which will have an impact on kids worldwide. With bold fundraising goals and a growing network of supporters behind it we are looking for a passionate marketer who wants to help shape and scale this historic campaign and the lasting impact it will create for kids and families.

As part of the Strategy and Public Engagement Team the Coordinator Marketing plays a key role in enabling transformational fundraising and bringing campaigns to life. The ideal candidate will provide marketing project management collaborate across teams to execute campaigns and provide day-to-day support for Holland Bloorviews social media accounts.

The Coordinator Marketing is a member of Holland Bloorviews communications and public engagement (CPE) team which is comprised of both hospital and foundation colleagues. Working in collaboration they build brand awareness promote disability inclusion and engage the community to support philanthropic giving to Holland Bloorview.

This role is hybrid in nature with a combination of work-from-home and on site as-needed for content capture tours team-building activities etc. Interested Lets make it work. Our team members are empowered to take ownership of their schedules and workflows however occasional evenings and weekends are required.

Key Responsibilities

Marketing Project Management

  • Support the planning and rollout of integrated marketing initiatives under the direction of the Manager Integrated Marketing
  • Assist in building and maintaining project timelines tracking tasks and ensuring all deliverables are on time
  • Support the trafficking and delivery of creative assets to advertising vendors and media partners ensuring files meet technical specifications and deadlines.
  • Develop effective working relationships across foundation departments hospital teams and with external partners including vendors
  • Assist with creative execution as needed including graphic design video writing support and photography activities
  • Support content capture planning and on-site coordination for events visits and storytelling initiatives
  • Assist with metrics monitoring and analysis related to marketing and communications activities

Social Media Coordination

  • Support creating and executing innovative and compelling audience-first social media content that engages audiences strengthens Holland Bloorviews reputation and advances the organizations brand advocacy and fundraising objectives
  • In partnership with hospital communications assist with developing social media content calendars including internally and externally sourced content and custom posting strategy for each platform and audience
  • Provide excellent community management across all platforms including daily monitoring to engage supporters and donors and other key audiences

Administration

  • Support Communications and Public Engagement activities as needed such as photo and video shoots ambassador coordination scheduling and event coverage
  • Assist in improving and maintaining project documentation files systems and content libraries
  • Assist in improving internal coordination and communication tools to enhance efficiency
  • Other duties as assigned

Job Requirements

  • Post-secondary education in marketing communications or a related field or 2 years related work experience
  • Demonstrated knowledge of best practices in marketing and social media
  • Outstanding customer/client service skills and very strong relationship-building skills
  • Experience managing the priorities of multiple partners in a complex environment while maintaining a focus on timelines and objectives
  • Excellent organizational planning and time management skills
  • Proficiency with Microsoft 365 Adobe Creative Suite and Canva (e.g. Premiere Illustrator Photoshop etc) and project management tools (e.g. Asana)
  • Experience with a variety of media and digital platforms (e.g. YouTube X Facebook Instagram and LinkedIn) and tools such as Sprout Social
  • Proven ability to work independently and within a collaborative team environment
  • Enthusiastic and passionate about fundraising
  • Demonstrated understanding of issues related to disability and social justice and experience working with children and/or vulnerable populations an asset
  • Flexibility to attend on-site evening and weekend events
