The Opportunity
AAPM is seeking a motivated and reliable Stores & Procurement Officer to join our Dingley facility. This is a 8-month full-time contract position with the possibility of extension or the role becoming permanent ideal for someone looking to build a career in aviation logistics and stores within a regulated maintenance environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Ensuring stores are operated in compliance with AAPM Part 145 MOEs and CASA/EASA regulatory requirements
- Purchasing commercial and aircraft parts in support of company operations.
- Receipt issue storage packaging and dispatch of aircraft parts and non-aircraft items
- Updating electronic inventory systems for receipting issuing and disposal of items
- Maintaining appropriate stock levels and carry out stock takes as required
- Incoming inspection of components and materials including conformity checks against delivery requirements
- Identify and propose improvements to stores processes and procedures
- Promote workplace safety by identifying hazards and reporting issues beyond your area of control
- Perform other reasonable duties as directed by the supervisor
Selection Criteria
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Strong organisational and time-management skills
- Good interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment
- Basic computer literacy including Microsoft Office applications
- Knowledge of aircraft components or aviation maintenance environments (advantageous but not essential)
- Prior stores or warehouse experience (advantageous but not essential)
- Current Drivers Licence (manual)
- Current Forklift Licence (essential)
