About us

The Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Psychiatrists (RANZCP) is responsible for training educating and representing psychiatrists in Australia and Aotearoa New Zealand. The College is accredited by the Australian Medical Council (AMC) and the Medical Council of New Zealand (MCNZ) to deliver specialist medical education and training and professional development programs. About the role

Fixed-term to 30 April 2027 Full-time Melbourne CBD (Hybrid)

The RANZCP has received Australian Government funding for the following projects:

  • Specialist Training Program (STP) which includes the Integrated Rural Training Pipeline (IRTP) and the Training more Specialist Doctors in Tasmania (the Tasmanian Project)
  • Military and Veterans Psychiatry Training Program (MVPTP)
  • Psychiatry Workforce Program (PWP)
  • Flexible Approach to Training in Expanded Settings (FATES)
  • Additional support Projects

This role is responsible for providing administrative and coordination support to ensure these programs are delivered in line with contractual schedules and reporting requirements.

Key Responsibilities

  • Schedule face-to-face and virtual meetings including travel and catering arrangements.
  • Coordinate and administer committee and management group meetings including agendas action lists and minutes.
  • Update and maintain website content including training post directories.
  • Prepare and distribute communications to stakeholders including the Australian Government Funded Training Programs Newsletter.
  • Coordinate participant surveys and work with the Coordinator to prepare participant reports.

  • Experience providing administrative support to committees or working groups.
  • Strong skills in MS Office databases and virtual meeting platforms.
  • Well-developed interpersonal verbal and written communication skills.
  • Excellent organisational and planning skills with the ability to manage competing priorities and deadlines.
  • Australian or New Zealand citizenship or valid Australian work rights.

Some of whats on offer:

  • $58000 to $68000 Super 12% Salary Packaging (up to $15899 for general living expenses and up to $2650 for meal entertainment) commensurate with skills and experience.
  • Hybrid working model (2 days office / 3 days WFH).
  • 37.5-hour week plus a paid day off each month.
