Provider Scheduling Optimization Increase Access to Healthcare Fully Remote

We are seeking an experience strategic results-driven Provider Scheduling Manager who thrives in fast-paced environments and wants to make an impact in healthcare.
The Opportunity
We are looking for a dynamic and strategic Scheduling Manager to support and lead the scheduling team. This role will be responsible for the management development and implementation of physician and Advanced Practice Provider (APP) schedules in accordance with defined metrics and operational goals. The Scheduling Manager also provides input to internal teams such as Sales Client Engagement and Practice Management capacity planning.
What Youll Do
- Lead a team to generate and post Physician and APP schedules on a monthly basis across all sites of care (e.g. Emergency Department (ED) Consult-Liaison (CL) Home Hospitals Units Long Term Care (LTC) Clinics etc.) utilizing predetermined availability to strategically maximize efficiency and meet/exceed target goal parameters
- Lead team in identifying and executing opportunities through enhanced scheduling to improve clinical quality (response times gaps) and/or reduce costs
- Ensure ongoing maintenance of real-time schedule changes
- Assist with the formation of facility specific physician panels as part of implementation process dependent upon existing and future state licensure/privileges
- Create summaries of coverage progress and remaining deficiencies
- Compile capacity/coverage needs by site of care by physician group or other criteria to include a summary of progress
- Handle escalated physician outreach to resolve capacity and/or coverage needs and coordinate with clinical leadership as needed
- Compile reports from various data sources as needed by leadership
- Share feedback on scheduling tool with technology leadership to drive continued improvements
- Collaborate with scheduling leaders across other service lines to share and incorporate best practices
- Coach and mentor direct reports providing a strong employee experience
- Provides direct supervision of staff including assignment of work tasks coaching and general performance management
- Coaches develops and mentors direct reports with an emphasis on building career paths for professional growth
- Administers progressive discipline including corrective action when necessary to ensure high levels of job performance and compliance with company policy
- Conducts formal performance appraisals for all direct reports and develops action plans for continued development and performance improvement
- Manages payroll activities for direct reports to include timekeeping approval for time off requests and other administrative functions
- Other duties as assigned
What Youll Bring
- Bachelors degree in a related field
- At least 5 years of relevant work experience including at least 3 years physician scheduling or workforce management related experience
- Prior management experience preferred
- Highly effective communication skills (written and oral)
- Excellent organizational and project management skills with an emphasis on hitting key deliverables/dates
- Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks
- Understanding of provider scheduling
- Able to act decisively and maintain discretion
- Detail oriented
- Ability to collaborate across multiple cross-functional teams
- Proficiency with Microsoft Excel PowerPoint Word and general computer skills
- Ability to thrive in a high-growth 100% remote organization.
