Assistant or Associate Professor of Accounting

INTRODUCTION

The University of Connecticut School of Business invites applications for a full-time tenure-track or tenured faculty position at the rank of Assistant or Associate Professor of Accounting commencing in the fall of 2026.

Although we will consider candidates with a range of relevant curricular and scholarly expertise in the field of accounting we are specifically seeking candidates with research and teaching interests intaxation. We are especially interested in receiving applications from candidates who will add to the diversity of our faculty and community. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

• Earned Ph.D. (or equivalent) in accounting or related field expected by August 22 2026. Equivalent foreign degrees are acceptable.
• Demonstrated potential to establish a successful research and scholarship record.
• Demonstrated promise of excellence in teaching.
• Demonstrated oral and written communication skills.
• Demonstrated interest in scholarly research in taxation.
• Demonstrated interest in teaching tax courses.
• Demonstrated commitment to promoting diversity through their academic and research programs.
• Applicants for the rank of associate professor should possess a record of research excellent teaching performance and involvement in undergraduate graduate and doctoral education.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

• Applicants for the rank of associate professor should have a record of contribution through research teaching and/or public engagement to the diversity and excellence of the learning experience.
• Applicants for the rank of associate professor should also demonstrate evidence of service to the university the field or the profession through leadership in professional organizations editorial activities and successful involvement in undergraduate and/or graduate curriculum development.

APPOINTMENT TERMS

This is a full-time appointment for a tenure-track or tenure-at-hire position. Applicants seeking tenure must meet University requirements for appointment at the rank of associate professor with tenure. Salary and rank will be highly competitive and commensurate with background qualifications and experience. Benefits include health insurance retirement annuities and research support.
