Job Description Summary
The Lead Engineer Process Standards & Integration is responsible for driving BidSellExecute standards and ITR process excellence for Heavy Duty New Unit (HDNU) ITR projects. This role focuses on developing standardizing and continuously improving ITR processes to ensure projects are executed consistently and meet Safety Quality Delivery and Cost (SQDC) KPIs.The role works closely with Engineering Equipment Planning Project Management Sales Commercial Operations Product Lines Sourcing and Quality to improve scheduling effectiveness process maturity and overall execution performance. The Lead Engineer champions LEAN principles drives data based decision making and ensures scalable standardized solutions across the ITR organization.
Job Description
Key Responsibilities
Process Standards & Integration
- Drive and govern BidSellExecute standardsfor HDNU ITR projects to improve execution consistency and SQDC performance.
- Develop implement and maintain standard ITR processes tools and templatesacross projects and regions.
- Ensure alignment and integration of ITR processes across Engineering Equipment Planning and Project Execution teams.
- Lead a data sub-team consisting of contractors and GE employees to maximize SQDC KPIs integrate cross-functional data sources for ITR visibility and automate data workflows
- Work with product team to ensure products are ready for ITR
- Identify and eliminate process waste reducing touchtimes and handoffs across the execution lifecycle.
Continuous Improvement & LEAN
- Champion LEAN principlesacross the Heavy Duty ITR organization including PSR Kaizen events and process maturity models.
- Challenge the status quo and proactively identify opportunities for simplification automation and productivity improvement.
- Lead data analysis and automation initiatives to enable factbased decision making and continuous improvement.
CrossFunctional Collaboration & Communication
- Work collaboratively with Sales Commercial Operations Product Lines Engineering Sourcing Quality and PMO to resolve execution challenges and deliver customerfocused solutions.
- Effectively communicate process changes project solutions and performance insights to internal stakeholders and external customers.
- Serve as a role model for GE Vernova Waybehaviors: Innovation Customer Focus Lean One Team and Accountability.
Accountability & Leadership
- Demonstrate ownership and accountability for functional deliverables and business objectives.
- Lead improvement initiatives and programs with clear milestones outcomes and KPI impact.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelors degree in Engineering from an accredited university or college (or equivalent experience)
- 3 years of experiencein ITR processes engineering and/or project execution.
- Willingness to travel domestically and internationally as required.
Desired Characteristics
- Masters degree in Engineering from an accredited university or college
- Strong analytical and problemsolving skills with the ability to lead programs and improvement initiatives.
- Demonstrated projectmanagement capability in a matrixed environment.
- Knowledge of Gas Turbine Generator Steam Turbine and HRSG product lines with plantlevel systems understanding.
- Experience driving global ITR process improvements.
- Ability to interface effectively with all organizational levels and external customers.
- Selfstarter with a positive attitude and a track record of delivering results in fastpaced environments.
- Strong continuous improvement mindset with the ability to influence and implement change.
- Excellent oral written and interpersonal communication skills.
- Ability to thrive in a highly matrixed global team environment.
