DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES

May include the following:

  • Build and manage relationships with public and private partner organizations
  • Effectively engage in regular communications towards developing and implementing key objectives of the Help Me Grow systems model
  • Support data collection and analysis related to coalition strategic goals
  • Plan and facilitate coalition meetings
  • Serve as Learn the Signs. Act Early. Deputy Ambassador and promote in the community
  • Provide presentations on local and state level early childhood data and research to community stakeholders
  • Engage child care and child health providers in supporting and promoting coalition initiatives
  • Conduct family and community engagement outreach and education events
  • Engage parents and caregivers in development of coalition initiatives
  • Supervise Community Events Specialist facilitating Home Visiting Department events
General Indicators:

REQUIREMENT/QUALIFICATIONS
Preferred:
  • Education: A Masters degree in Child Development Social Work or a related field
  • Experience: At least 4 years experience in Parent Support/Training 2 years experience in coalition and community partnership building or training and 5 years experience working with families and young children.
Required:
  • Education: A Bachelors degree in Child Development Early Childhood Education Social Work Health Psychology or a related field
  • Experience: 5 years experience working with families and young children and at least 1 year experience in coalition and community partnership building or training
  • Ability to work fully remote
Physical Requirements:
  • Be able to lift 25 30 lbs.
  • Be able to walk squat/kneel sit on the floor see hear and speak with children to ensure childrens health and safety.
Other Requirements:
  • Daily access to transportation.
  • Valid Texas Drivers License-Class C.
  • Vehicle insurance (personal injury and liability).
  • Must be flexible with hours.
  • Initial Health Exam required for all Head Start staff at the agencys expense.
  • Initial and annual TB screening are required for all Head Start staff at the agencys expense.
  • Must be at least 21 years old.
