Join our global Project Management Office
In the DSV Group Project Management Office (PMO) you will be a part of a group of 160 highly professional colleagues. Our mission is to provide high-quality services and manage projects for the DSV organisation supporting business and group functions in executing global strategies.
This job is based in Lisbon Portugal in our Global Business Service Centre where you will be working among colleagues from Group PMO on-site and connected to the rest of the PMO department on the distance. Your projects will be spanning our Business Divisions: Road Air & Sea Contract Logistics Group HR Group Finance Compliance Corporate Development IT and other group functions.
Expect project travel approx.10-20 days annually.
Leave your mark on global projects
You will be responsible for managing medium to large corporate projects and programs that are connected directly to the DSV strategy. Your projects may consist of multiple teams and workstreams that will vary in size and complexity.
Collaborating with PMO colleagues situated in more than 10 countries you will:
- Develop projects from initiation stage to operations following our standard PMO process and strong governance
- Manage the project and subsequent task alignment of project members including potential country implementations across all project stages starting from business case initiation to hypercare
- Oversee and handle budgets with precision and ensure close control of project costs across multiple teams to maximize efficiency and value
- Handle task and time management of external partners service providers and consultants
- Keep track of project progress and be responsible for project reporting
- Proactively handle risks issues manage expectations upwards. This is key due to the strategic importance of the projects
- Facilitate and participate in workshops project boards and Townhall meetings where you address a large and diverse audience
Requirements:
You are independent and possess strong interpersonal skills. You act as a leader and value building as well as sustaining business relationships. You are structured hands-on and pragmatic in your approach to work. It is essential that you can create and set project direction. You are engaged and motivated by leading various project activities from start to closure. You communicate clearly and effectively both verbally and in writing and can zoom in and out of details depending on your project context and audience. You are passionate about project management and driving change. Your strong leadership and collaboration skills enable you to steer projects forward effectively while confidently addressing successes and challenges to the stakeholders. Additionally you are adept at working with various levels of a large international organization functions. You can stand your ground when challenged. You thrive in fast-paced and high-performance environments.
Finally we imagine that you:
- Have strong Project Management & Communication skills
- Manage strategic project with top management focus and exposure to C-level stakeholders
- Have a bachelors degree or higher and around 7 years of continuous project management experience with large corporate projects preferably from a global Project Management Office or a Multinational Company
- Focus on Finance and HR projects
- Interest in IT
- Bring a comprehensive understanding of project management tools i.e. Prince2 and/or agile frameworks
- Are eligible to live and work in Lisbon Portugal. No relocation package included.
- Are fluent in English
