We strive to provide pet owners and primary veterinarians access tostate-of-the-artdiagnostics tools with dedicated doctors and support staff in a warm team and ResponsibilitiesTechnical Responsibilities of theSurgery RVT:Clinical & Patient Care:Preparing patients for surgery including physical assessments and pre-anesthetic testingPlacement of IV catheters andaccuratecalculation of drug dosages fluid therapy and CRIsInduction monitoring and recovery of anesthesia for a wide range of soft tissue and specialty surgical proceduresAdvanced anesthetic monitoring and troubleshootingMaintaining and sterilizing surgical instruments and equipment using proper aseptictechniquesPreparing surgical suites andassistingsurgeons during proceduresProducing andassistingwith diagnostic imaging asrequiredProviding attentive post-operative monitoring pain management and recovery careManaging hospitalized surgical patients and collaborating with other specialty services as neededClient Education & Support:Providing clear and compassionate discharge instructions and post-operative home care educationSupporting client communication in partnership with DVMs and leadershipAssistingin addressing client concerns in a professional and empathetic mannerTeam Leadership & Collaboration:Supporting and guidingTechnologistAssistants (TAs) within the surgery departmentCommunicating proactively with Surgeons Anesthetists Emergency DVMs and other departmentsPromoting strong interdepartmental collaboration and seamless patient care transitionsAdministration & Compliance:Maintaining practice software including client and patient record all SOPs to ensure smooth hospital to all federal and provincial animal health laws and workplace health and safety & Experience:Diploma in Animal experience preferred ideally in aspecialty settingKnowledge Skills & Abilities:Exceptional interpersonal verbal and written communication active listening and problem-solving to communicate difficult or sensitive information professionally and time management and organizational skills including the ability to plan coordinate multitask and prioritize interest and initiative to contribute to making Pulse Veterinary the best practice it can initiative and a desire to be an integral part of the growth and development of the Emergency motivation for personal and professional BenefitsCompetitive compensation packageContinuing education benefitsPersonal pet discountsProfessional duesUniform allowanceShift differential (where applicable)Paid sick days and time offOpportunities for growth and professional developmentAccess to a diverse team with varied experience and knowledgeTo apply or learn more about this opportunity please contact Ali Winter
