Job Summary

Role Purpose 

The BIM Specialist II supports project digital delivery by maintaining BIM environments standards and workflows that enable teams to work efficiently and consistently. This role focuses on the technical systems behind project delivery rather than pure modeling production. Acting as a bridge between project teams and Digital/BIM leadership the position helps implement standards improve workflows and maintain model health across multidisciplinary projects. This position is for a newly created position.

The BIM Specialist II operates with moderate independence contributing to process improvement mentoring project teams and supporting digital delivery initiatives aligned with regional and global standards. 

Key Responsibilities 

Digital Delivery Standards and Project Support 

  • Support setup and maintenance of BIM environments aligned with company standards including templates shared parameters content libraries and documentation. 

  • Provide advanced troubleshooting technical guidance and mentoring related to models workflows and digital tools. 

  • Maintain model health through coordination support QA activities auditing and performance optimization. 

  • Promote consistency across projects by applying repeatable workflows best practices and structured delivery approaches. 

  • Contribute to multidisciplinary collaboration and act as a liaison between project teams and Digital/BIM leadership. 

Process Improvement and Team Enablement 

  • Assist with project kickoff activities and onboarding teams into established digital workflows. 

  • Support training and knowledge sharing to improve team capability and adoption of standards. 

  • Identify workflow challenges and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives. 

Level of Responsibility 

  • Works under general supervision with increasing autonomy. 

  • Expected to resolve technical issues independently and escalate complex challenges when required. 


Qualifications :

Minimum Requirements:

In order to be considered for this position candidates must possess at a very minimum: 

  • A University Degree plus 2 (two) years of experience in Building Information Modeling. 
  • Strong understanding of BIM authoring tools and project setup practices. 

  • Experience supporting multidisciplinary model environments and coordinated delivery. 

  • Familiarity with standards based workflows data organization and model governance. 

  • Exposure to automation or scripting is considered an asset. 

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Strong communication and collaboration skills. 

  • Highly organized with a process driven mindset. 

  • Ability to balance technical systems support with real project delivery needs.
