About the role

We have a permanent opportunity for an Instruments Technician joining our Engineering team in Shenton assemble prepare service repair program and calibrate low power instruments (pressure conductivity level water quality sensors and data loggers) and provide support assistance and training to field based staff. The role will be hands on in the workshop with time in the office workshop and the field.

What the role will involve

  • Assemble prepare service repair program and calibrate low voltage instrumentation and equipment
  • Carry fault finding either in the workshop remotely (telemetry) or on site
  • Report faults and recommend remedies to prevent future faults
  • Maintain accurate and complete documentation about work carried out on instruments to ensure traceability as per the instrument process and quality management systems
  • Participate in review and recommend improvements to workshop practices and procedures
  • Support our Technical Advisor Instrument in R&D and larger projects
  • Mentorship training and development from Technical Advisor Instrument role to enhance knowledge and skills

About you

Youll have a trade level qualification in an electronic instrumentation or electrically related trade discipline along with experience with data loggers telemetry systems and analysing and resolving electronic problems. Demonstrated technical report writing and ability to collaborate and influence stakeholders at all levels will ensure success in this role.
