We are seeking an enthusiastic and self-driven Therapy Assistant to join the casual Pool Team.
Location
Aegis Hilton Park has been designed to offer a broad range of accommodation and lifestyle options for 136 residents in five wings.
Hilton is a suburb surrounded by water from nearby lakes rivers and the sea. We have used this water connection to name each of the areas or wings after local and southwest rivers. From north to south there areSwanCanningSerpentineMurrayandBlackwood. Aegis Hilton Park is an ageing in place facility and both high and low care accommodation is available in all specialist dementia care.
As an integral part of the team you will:
- Provide mobility and exercise programs to our Residents under the direction and supervision of the Physiotherapist.
- Provide recreational and other Therapeutic activity programs to our Residents under the direction and supervision of the Occupational Therapist.
- Participate in the organisation and planning of Therapy programs.
- Deliver a range of Therapy-based activity programs as directed.
- Complete accurate documentation in line with relevant guidelines.
- Accompany Resident groups on outings.

Requirements of the role
- Hold a Certificate III in Allied Health Assistance or higher/equivalent.
- A Certificate IV in Allied Health Assistance or equivalent/higher or experience (Desirable but not essential).
- Have experience in a similar role preferred (Occupational Therapist Assistant or Physiotherapist Assistant).
- Strong organisational and time management skills.
- Excellent customer service skills.
- Demonstrated ability to lead and coach staff to deliver quality lifestyle and therapy activities.
- Sound written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
- Have empathy with the elderly.
- Have full Australian working rights and able to pass a national police clearance.
