About the Project
The Eastern Busway is a significant project that is about more than just better transport. It will increase access to jobs and education connect people to social and community opportunities attract investment and growth enable urban development and help reduce emissions.
Its efficient services will give nearby communities some great options for cycling walking or using the bus and it will be a vital part of the public transport network in Tāmaki Makaurau for decades to come.
About the Opportunity
As the GIS Specialist you lead spatial data management and expert GIS analysis for the Eastern Busway Alliance. You provide new spatial content develop web and mobile GIS applications and support integration across digital engineering systems. You work closely with project teams including the Digital Engineering Lead design construction survey and environmental stakeholders. Your work enables accurate information flow and supports project decisions. (Approx. 600 characters) EBA - PD 2026 Word
What are the key accountabilities for the position
- Manage spatial data and create new spatial content
- Deliver expert GIS analysis to solve project problems
- Configure and maintain web and mobile GIS applications
- Support integration and automate data flow across systems
- Produce high quality large scale maps and cartography
- Lead spatial data transmittals with external GIS teams
- Provide GIS training to project teams on site
Required Skills and Competencies
- 5 years GIS experience
- Tertiary qualification in GIS or related field
- Strong ESRI experience incl. ArcGIS Pro & Enterprise
- Skilled in FME for automation tasks
- Experience with web and mobile GIS apps
