In this role you will help protect and enhance BLNZs reputation through proactive and effective communication. This role covers a broad mix of external and internal communications media engagement social media management and delivery of core publications including:
- Managing day-to-day media activity responding to enquiries and identifying proactive media opportunities.
- Day-to-day management of BLNZs social media channels monitoring brand risk and building engagement across platforms.
- Delivering key internal communication outputs including weekly organisation-wide updates.
- Leading the weekly ediary editorial process and overseeing the planning writing and production of major publications such as the Red Meat Report and Annual Report.
- Supporting wider Communications team projects and contributing to a positive high-performing team culture.
What youll bring
Were looking for an intermediate level communications practitioner who is confident organised and an excellent writer with strong judgement and the ability to engage with a broad range of stakeholders. You will have:
- A degree in communications or a similar related field.
- At least 4 years experience delivering both internal and external communications.
- Strong writing and editing skills across multiple formats and channels.
- Experience working with media and a good understanding of social media management.
- The ability to navigate complex or sensitive issues and know when to escalate.
- Strong relationship-building skills and the confidence to work with senior leaders.
- A proactive collaborative approach and the ability to manage multiple priorities.
This role is fixed term for two years and based in Wellington. You may be required to undertake occasional travel to represent Beef Lamb New Zealand and participate in regional and national collaborative processes or similar forums.
