Job Summary
Job Opportunity: Locum Physician - Gastroenterology
Summary: Join a dynamic team at a leading healthcare facility in Bismarck North Dakota seeking a Gastroenterologist for locum coverage. The facility is well-equipped and dedicated to providing comprehensive gastrointestinal care. Candidates specializing in general GI are welcome with preference given to those experienced in ERCP.
Job Responsibilities:
- Provide clinical care for hospitalized GI patients.
- Perform essential procedures including colonoscopy biopsy polypectomy proctoscopy and more.
- Manage patient rounds at the hospital typically averaging 5 to 6 patients daily.
- Conduct 1 to 2 scopes per day based on patient needs.
- Participate in 24-hour on-call coverage with hospital rounding for 8 hours.
- Utilize EPIC for electronic medical record documentation.
- Work independently as the sole gastroenterologist on-site during assignment.
Qualifications:
- Board Certified in Gastroenterology (REQUIRED)
- State License Pending license accepted; may obtain at offer (Will consider IMLC) (REQUIRED)
- BLS and DEA certification (REQUIRED)
- Clean malpractice history preferred
- Self-Query NPDB report dated within 30 days of presentation (REQUIRED)
- Experience in general GI; ERCP certification highly preferred
License and Certification Requirements:
- Board Certification in Gastroenterology
- State Medical License
- BLS Certification
- DEA Registration
- NPDB Self-Query Report
