In this role you will be instrumental in diagnosing and treating patients with hematological and oncological conditions. Your expertise will contribute to developing personalized treatment plans collaborating with multidisciplinary teams and ensuring the highest quality of care for our patients.
Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive care to patients with hematological and oncological disorders
- Conduct patient consultations and evaluations
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans
- Collaborate with nurses pharmacists and other healthcare professionals
- Participate in tumor board meetings to discuss patient cases
- Stay updated on the latest advancements in oncology and hematology
- Educate patients and their families about treatment options and care plans
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records
Requirements
- MD or DO degree from an accredited medical school
- Valid medical license to practice in the state of California
- Previous experience in hematology oncology or medical oncology
- Strong diagnostic and clinical skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
- Ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary team
- Commitment to providing high-quality patient care
- Flexibility to adapt to changing patient needs and schedules
Flexible Schedule: 8a-5p 3 to 5-day workweek
Call Requirement: Every Monday night and 1:4 weekend rotation
Will cover multiple facilities
Patient Census: 12-15 per day
Case Split: 60% hematology 40% medical oncology
EMR: Epic
Board certification required
Paid travel & expenses
