Job Summary

Role Overview
The Vice President QA/QC & Safety shall be responsible for establishing implementing and
governing enterprise-wide quality and safety systems across all real estate projects. The role ensures
regulatory compliance construction excellence risk mitigation and continuous improvement across
design execution and handover stages.
This position will act as the custodian of construction quality statutory safety compliance and risk
governance aligning execution standards with organizational brand cost time and customer
satisfaction objectives.
Key Responsibilities
A. Quality Assurance & Quality Control (QA/QC)
Define and institutionalize company-wide QA/QC policies SOPs checklists and quality
benchmarks aligned with NBC IS codes local bylaws and best industry practices.
Establish stage-wise quality control frameworks from design review material approvals
construction finishing testing & commissioning to final handover.
Lead design quality audits in coordination with architects consultants and project teams to
eliminate constructability and compliance risks.
Ensure material approvals mock-ups method statements ITPs and inspection protocols are
strictly followed across all sites.
Implement root cause analysis (RCA) for quality deviations defects and non-conformances
and drive corrective and preventive actions (CAPA).
Oversee third-party testing agencies NABL labs and external quality auditors.
Define and monitor quality KPIs defect density rework costs and handover quality indices.
Lead quality aspects during OC / CC inspections authority audits and customer handover.
B. Safety Health & Environment (EHS)
Establish and enforce enterprise-level EHS policy aligned with statutory requirements and
global best practices.
Ensure full compliance with Factory Act Building & Other Construction Workers Act (BOCW)
local labor laws fire safety and environmental regulations.
Implement project-specific safety plans risk assessments (HIRA) method-statement-based
safety controls and emergency response systems.
Drive zero-accident culture safety leadership programs and behavior-based safety initiatives
across all project sites.
Review and monitor accident investigations near-miss reporting corrective actions and
safety performance metrics.
Ensure statutory approvals safety audits fire NOCs and compliance documentation are in
place before project milestones and handovers.
Conduct regular safety audits toolbox talks safety training and competency assessments for
employees contractors and vendors.
Implement ISO certification ensure all departments adhere to the standards.
C. Governance Risk & Compliance
Act as the final authority on quality and safety escalations impacting cost time or brand
reputation.
Develop a risk-based audit framework for quality and safety across all projects.
Support insurance legal and claims management related to quality failures or safety
incidents.
Interface with government authorities auditors consultants and certification bodies.
D. Leadership & Capability Building
Lead and mentor central and site-based QA/QC and Safety teams across multiple geographies.
Define organization structure manpower planning and competency frameworks for QA/QC
and EHS functions.
Drive training certification and knowledge-sharing initiativesto enhance construction quality
and safety culture.
Work closely with Projects Design Procurement Planning CRM and Facility Management
teams.

Qualifications & Experience
Bachelors degree in Civil Engineering (Mandatory)
Masters degree / PG Diploma in Construction Management / Quality / Safety (Preferred)
Certifications such as NEBOSH IOSH ISO Lead Auditor (added advantage)
20 years of experience in real estate / large construction projects
Minimum 8 10 years in a senior leadership role managing QA/QC and Safety functions
Experience handling large residential townships high-rise buildings villas and commercial
projects
