Inviting applications for the role of Principal Consultant Data Quality Engineer.
In this role you will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams including developers business analysts and stakeholders to deliver high-quality software solutions that enhance operational efficiency and support strategic business objectives

Responsibilities
Design and execute data validation strategies to ensure data accuracy and completeness during migration from legacy to target systems (e.g. on-prem cloud).
Develop and maintain complex SQL scripts to validate datasets based on source to target mapping and business requirement.
Create and maintain data quality test cases validation frameworks and automated checks
Perform data reconciliation data profiling row count validation field-level comparisons and referential integrity checks.
Identify and analyse data discrepancies transformation issues and data loss risks.
Automate data verification processes where feasible using SQL Python or ETL testing tools.
Coordinate with developers data analysts and business stakeholders to define data quality acceptance criteria.
Perform root cause analysis for data quality issues and collaborate with data engineers to resolve defects.
Track document and report test results anomalies and quality metrics
Support post-migration validation and rollback readiness analysis.
Required Skills & Experience
Insurance domain testing experience
Experience in Data Quality Engineering Data Validation or QA for migration or ETL projects.
Strong SQL skills (joins subqueries and Common Table Expressions (CTEs)).
Strong proficiency in SQL querying joins aggregations and data comparison techniques.
Hands-on experience validating data migration or ETL pipelines.
Hands-on experience with one or more databases: MS SQL Server Oracle Snowflake PostgreSQL or BigQuery.
Proven ability to work with large datasets and compare source vs. target using SQL or automation tools.
Strong understanding of data modeling referential integrity and transformation logic.
Familiarity with scripting languages (Python Shell) for data comparison automation preferred.
Knowledge of data reconciliation techniques and data quality checks.
Excellent analytical thinking documentation and collaboration skills.
Experience with test management tools and defect tracking (e.g. JIRA). Excellent analytical and problem-solving ability
Must be detail-oriented and have the ability to deliver on time and work under deadline pressure

Minimum Qualifications
BE/ B Tech/ MCA

Preferred Qualifications/ Skills
Excellent analytical problem-solving communication and interpersonal skills
Able to work effectively in a fast-paced sometimes stressful environment and deliver production quality software within tight schedules
Must be results-oriented self-motivated and have the ability to thrive in a fast-pace environment
Strong Specialty Insurance domain & IT knowledge
Experience with cloud migrations (AWS Azure or GCP).
Knowledge of Python or scripting for data validation automation.
Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines or test automation frameworks for data validation.
Exposure to data quality tools such as Informatica Data Quality etc.
Prior experience in regulated environments (Insurance finance) a plus.
Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments.
Exposure to big data platforms (Snowflake BigQuery Databricks)
