Job Opening: Youth Prevention Advocate
Location: Sarasota Area Florida
Position Type: Full-Time Non-Exempt
At Selah Freedom we are dedicated to ending sex trafficking and bringing freedom to the exploited. From prevention and outreach to safe housing and education our programs serve youth and survivors across the Midwest and Southeast regions of the U.S.
What Youll Do
As a Youth Prevention Advocate you will play a key role in Selah Freedoms prevention efforts by delivering exploitation-prevention trainings to youth throughout Sarasota County. This position focuses on facilitating K-12 trainings in schools and youth-serving organizations building strong community relationships and expanding access to prevention education through outreach and partnership development.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone passionate about youth education prevention and community impact.
You will:
- Facilitate exploitation-prevention trainings for youth (grades K-12) across Sarasota County
- Coordinate and schedule trainings with schools school districts and community partners
- Build and maintain relationships with youth-serving organizations to expand training opportunities
- Conduct outreach and community engagement to promote Selah Freedoms youth prevention program
- Represent Selah Freedom at community events meetings and networking opportunities
- Complete required data collection reporting and documentation in accordance with the Prevention Manual
- Attend regular team and organizational meetings
- Assist with prevention-related special projects as assigned
What You Bring
- Bachelors degree in Education Psychology Social Work or a related field (or equivalent experience).
- Experience working with youth prevention education or vulnerable populations preferred
- Experience working with or supporting survivors of exploitation or human trafficking is helpful but not required
- Clean driving record required
- Strong communication relationship-building and organizational skills
- Ability to work independently while collaborating with a team

Work Schedule & Environment
- Typical schedule: Monday-Friday 8:00am-5:00pm
- Some nights weekends or after-hours events may be required (with notice)
