About the Role
As a Family Advocate youll provide comprehensive case management services to families in assigned classrooms. Youll create coordinate and deliver services that promote family well-being while ensuring full compliance with Head Start Performance Standards Child Care Licensing Policies and Health Department regulations.
Youll be a connector coach and champion for families guiding them through resources health requirements and community services while fostering meaningful engagement.
What Youll Do
- Provide compassionate strengths-based case management to families from diverse backgrounds
- Maintain accurate documentation case notes and follow-ups (including proficiency in ChildPlus)
- Monitor and educate families on health requirements-ensuring children are up to date on medical dental nutrition and mental health screenings and connected to a medical and dental home
- Offer timely referrals and ensure families successfully access community resources
- Partner with teachers to share relevant information confidentially and ensure classroom coverage and safety
- Lead engaging parent meetings workshops and family activities that strengthen relationships and promote well-being
- Conduct application intakes and assist with recruitment efforts (some evenings/weekends required)
- Participate in ongoing professional development

Qualifications
Required:
- Bachelors degree in social human or family services
- Two years of related experience
Preferred:
- Experience with Head Start
- Bilingual in languages spoken by families served by UCA
Pay & Perks
- $25.94/hour
