About the Role

As a Family Advocate youll provide comprehensive case management services to families in assigned classrooms. Youll create coordinate and deliver services that promote family well-being while ensuring full compliance with Head Start Performance Standards Child Care Licensing Policies and Health Department regulations.

Youll be a connector coach and champion for families guiding them through resources health requirements and community services while fostering meaningful engagement.

What Youll Do

• Provide compassionate strengths-based case management to families from diverse backgrounds
• Maintain accurate documentation case notes and follow-ups (including proficiency in ChildPlus)
• Monitor and educate families on health requirements-ensuring children are up to date on medical dental nutrition and mental health screenings and connected to a medical and dental home
• Offer timely referrals and ensure families successfully access community resources
• Partner with teachers to share relevant information confidentially and ensure classroom coverage and safety
• Lead engaging parent meetings workshops and family activities that strengthen relationships and promote well-being
• Conduct application intakes and assist with recruitment efforts (some evenings/weekends required)
• Participate in ongoing professional development

Qualifications

Required:

• Bachelors degree in social human or family services
• Two years of related experience

Preferred:

• Experience with Head Start
• Bilingual in languages spoken by families served by UCA
