Job Summary

Your mission
Role Purpose
As President of War Child Switzerland you become a leading voice for children affected by conflict. You guide the board strengthen our strategic direction and open doors that help us reach even more children.
You are our ambassador connecting people to our mission galvanizing supporters and creating meaningful opportunities for growth visibility and fundraising.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide inspiring leadership and clear governance for the foundation
  • Represent War Child Switzerland with credibility and heart nationally and within the War Child global family
  • Drive key fundraising initiatives and support high-end events with an active visible presence
  • Mobilize and expand a strong network of major donors corporate allies and entrepreneurial supporters
  • Champion War Childs mission and strengthen our public profile
  • Lead and facilitate effective board meetings and help shape strategic decisions
  • Collaborate closely with War Child Netherlandsand the War Child Alliance Foundation to ensure alignment synergy and shared opportunities
  • Encourage bold ideas innovation and new partnerships
Your profile
  • Senior leadership or boardlevel experience ideally in complex or high-impact environments
  • A strong and diverse network in Switzerland and the willingness to actively activate it
  • A hands-on energetic approach to events donor engagement and strategic initiatives
  • Excellent communication ambassadorial presence and relationship-building skills
  • Flexibility to engage during peak fundraising moments
  • Alignment with War Childs values and a genuine commitment to creating safer futures for children
  • Residing and/or working in Switzerland.

Eligibility Requirements
These roles are based in Switzerland. Applicants must be current residents of Switzerland and legally permitted to volunteer in Switzerland at the time of application.
