Role Description

At Incedo the QA / Validation Engineer Test Automation will be responsible for end-to-end quality assurance and validation with a strong focus on test automation strategy execution and coverage. The role involves writing reviewing and executing test cases qualifying test cases for automation and ensuring maximum automation coverage for applications in scope.

The engineer will collaborate closely with business stakeholders developers and DevOps teams to ensure high-quality stable and compliant releases across environments.

Key Responsibilities

Quality Assurance & Validation

• Plan design review and execute manual and automated test cases.
• Perform functional integration regression and system testing.
• Validate application behavior against business and technical requirements.
• Perform intense testing during and post DR activities to ensure application stability.
• Identify log track and retest defects through closure.

Test Automation

• Write review and maintain automation test scripts.
• Analyze and qualify test cases for automation to maximize automation coverage.
• Develop automation solutions for web desktop and API testing.
• Integrate automated test execution into CI/CD pipelines.
• Review automation framework design and ensure scalability and reusability.

Tools Frameworks & CI/CD

• Configure and deploy automation functional testing solutions.
• Work with test automation frameworks and CI/CD tools.
• Troubleshoot automation failures and technical issues across environments.

Collaboration & Stakeholder Engagement

• Collaborate with stakeholders to gather analyze requirements and design validation approaches.
• Work closely with development and DevOps teams during releases and deployments.
• Support UAT cycles and coordinate defect resolution effectively.
• Foster a collaborative and supportive team environment.

Documentation & Reporting

• Prepare and maintain test plans test cases automation documentation and execution reports.
• Maintain QA documentation including SOPs validation evidence and release sign-offs.
• Provide regular quality status updates to project and delivery leadership.
• Develop and maintain user guides and training materials related to QA processes and tools.

Technical Skills

Required Skills & Qualifications

Automation & Testing Skills

• Strong hands-on experience with test automation tools:
• Playwright / Selenium / WinAppDriver / Appium
• Strong experience in automation scripting using JavaScript or TypeScript.
• Hands-on experience in SQL for data validation and backend testing.
• Experience with test automation frameworks and CI/CD integration.

QA & Process Skills

• Strong understanding of Software Testing Life Cycle (STLC).
• Hands-on experience in manual testing and validation.
• Experience testing web-based desktop and API-driven applications.
• Familiarity with defect tracking tools (JIRA Azure DevOps etc.).
• Experience working in Agile / Scrum environments.

Soft Skills

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder coordination abilities.
• Ability to work in fast-paced delivery-focused environments.
• Strong ownership and attention to detail.

Nice-to-have skills
