Engineering Manager (Python & AWS)

We are looking for an enthusiastic Engineering Manager to work at the forefront of our cloud modernization initiatives leading highimpact engineering teams building secure reliable and scalable cloudnative services.

Our engineering ecosystem spans modern backend services using Python (FastAPI/Pydantic) frontend applications using TypeScript (React/Koa) and a deeply integrated AWS platform.

We build with a forwardlooking mindset leveraging emerging frameworks and tools to continuously elevate our engineering standards.

Our architecture is built on AWS using ECS Lambda API Gateway and ALB driving highly scalable service deployments. We also leverage a broad set of AWS capabilities including DynamoDB Aurora PostgreSQL S3 SNS/SQS and eventdriven integrations to deliver resilient observable and performant distributed systems. We place strong emphasis on quality automation reliability and documentationsupported by robust CI/CD pipelines GitHubbased workflows automated testing and proactive operational practices around observability incident response and security tooling.

As an Engineering Manager you will lead and grow a crossfunctional engineering team coach engineers set technical direction and partner with Product Design and Platform teams to deliver meaningful customer and business outcomes.

• You will be #LI-hybrid based in Hyderabad and report to the Director of Engineering.
• Lead a highperformance engineering team ensuring predictable and highquality delivery across cloudnative microservices and web applications.
• Provide technical leadership and strategic direction across backend (Python/FastAPI) and frontend (React/TypeScript/Koa) ecosystems ensuring architectural alignment scalability security and operational excellence.
• Take ownership of endtoend technical architecture including API standards (OpenAPI) data models (Aurora PostgreSQL/DynamoDB) messaging patterns (SNS/SQS) and AWS platform usage (ECS/Lambda/API Gateway/ALB).
• Champion engineering best practices: clean architecture design patterns maintainability test automation CI/CD and DevSecOps principles.
• Collaborate closely with Product Design QA Security and crossfunctional partner teams to ensure successful delivery and long-term roadmap alignment.
• Drive operational excellence: monitoring incident response oncall practices postmortems cost optimization and continuous reliability improvements.
• Manage risks dependencies and blockers; anticipate challenges and establish mitigation strategies.
• Ensure highquality engineering documentation for architecture processes APIs and knowledgesharing resources.
• Partner with Product Management to define OKRs roadmap priorities and delivery timelines.

Qualifications :

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in managing software engineering teams
• Overall 12yrs of experience in Product Development
• Proven success leading crossfunctional teams through full SDLC cycles using Agile methodologies (Scrum/Kanban)
• Set technical direction align teams toward business outcomes and drive consistent execution.
• Experience leading cloudnative engineering in distributed teams and crossgeography collaboration.
• Track record of building secure missioncritical highvolume distributed systems on AWS.
• Translate business requirements into technical delivery plans scalable architectures and measurable outcomes.

• Strong technical depth across backend (Python/FastAPI/Pydantic) and frontend (React/TypeScript/Koa) ecosystems.
• Expertise with AWS services including ECS Lambda API Gateway ALB CloudWatch CloudTrail GuardDuty SecurityHub.
• Solid understanding of architectural principles: distributed systems microservices design patterns API design data modeling.
• Working experience with relational and NoSQL databases (Aurora PostgreSQL DynamoDB) including performance tuning.
• Strong testing background using pytest vitest TestCafe and automated quality pipelines.
• Proficiency with containerization and deployment workflows using Docker and Terraform (IaC).
• Deep knowledge of CI/CD practices and GitHub Actions / Buildkite pipelines.
• Experience building and maintaining observable reliable systems including metrics logging tracing and incident management.
• Passion for coaching engineers conducting code/design reviews and elevating engineering quality.
• Experience with dependency management security scanning and static code analysis tools.

• Experience using GenAIbased developer tools (e.g. AI IDEs intelligent code assistants).
• Exposure to big data tools Python/Scala ecosystems or Sparkbased processing.
• AWS certifications or advanced experience working with largescale cloud environments.
• Familiarity with messaging/eventing technologies and eventdriven architectures (SNS SQS event pipelines).
• Knowledge of IaC (Terraform CloudFormation AWS CDK).
• Experience working with DomainDriven Design and eventdriven systems.
• Familiarity with BI/Analytics workflows (QuickSight PowerBI) or ML collaboration (SageMaker).
