The Challenge
Supervises the activities of artisans by prioritizing and allocating resources to optimize efficiency and drive cost effectiveness. Inspects areas for scheduled maintenance or repairs as required to minimize loss of production. Ensures that operations are carried out in accordance with safety and environmental standards.

The Ideal Applicant:
Qualifications / NQF Equivalent:
- Grade 12 with Mathematics Science and E in English (20 points) or National Senior Certificate AND
- Pre -1993 - Diesel Mechanic Trade Diploma with N2 Cert OR
- Level 4 Trade Diploma with 4 theoretical subjects at Level 3 OR
- Post 1994 - Level 3 Trade certificate with 4 theoretical subjects at Level 3. OR
- Grade 10 with Mathematics Science and E in English (24 Points) AND
- Pre-1993 - Diesel Mechanic Trade Diploma with N3 Cert OR
- Level 4 Trade Diploma with 4 theoretical subjects at Level 3 OR
- Post 1994 - Level 3 Trade certificate with 4 theoretical subjects at Level 3.
- Valid Code B/BE Drivers license (Manual Transmission).
- Computer literate in MS-Office packages
- Knowledge of Namibian Labour Law
- Four (4) years relevant post apprenticeship experience as a Diesel Mechanic Artisan in the mining industry with knowledge of EMVs and equipment
- Preference will be given to candidates with at least 6 months demonstrated supervisory experience in the earthmoving equipment maintenance.
- As part of the interview & selection process candidates will undergo various assessments
