Assistant Branch Manager
Position Summary
The Assistant Branch Manager supports the Branch Manager in overseeing daily branch operations driving performance and delivering exceptional customer service. This role assists with staff supervision lending activities sales development and operational management. The Assistant Branch Manager also performs Account Officer and Head Teller responsibilities as needed.
Key Responsibilities
Support and direct daily branch operations; act in the Branch Managers absence.
Supervise schedule and coach branch staff to ensure productivity and service excellence.
Train and develop team members in promoting referring and cross-selling products and services.
Maintain high service standards and achieve referral and sales goals.
Exercise lending authority within established policies and maintain active NMLS registration.
Resolve operational and personnel issues effectively and professionally.
Communicate goals provide performance feedback and foster accountability.
Ensure compliance with applicable laws regulations and company policies.
Protect confidential information at all times.
Represent the branch professionally within the community.
Qualifications
Education & Experience
High School Diploma or equivalent required
Minimum 2 years of experience in the financial industry
At least 1 year of lending experience
Active NMLS registration required
Skills & Competencies
Strong leadership and coaching abilities
Excellent communication and organizational skills
Cash handling and balancing experience
Knowledge of consumer lending laws and regulations
Analytical thinking and sound decision-making skills
Sales and relationship-building ability
Proficiency with computers and 10-key calculator
Ability to perform effectively in a fast-paced environment
