This position is classified at the RE-04 group and level which is roughly equivalent to the IT-02 group and level.
LOCATION:
The designated worksite for this position is the Ottawa Ontario OSFI Office. However the employee may work from the Ottawa (ON) or Toronto (ON) office.
OSFIs hybrid model includes telework and mandatory onsite presence. The terms of the employees telework arrangement will be established in accordance with the Directive on Telework and the Guidelines on Hybrid Work. These arrangements must be reviewed annually at a minimum and can be subject to change. OSFI employees are currently required to work in the office at least 12 days per month however this may be subject to change depending on new direction.
The immediate need is to staff one (1) position with a language requirement of bilingual imperative BBB/BBB on an indeterminate (permanent) basis.
A pool of qualified or partially qualified candidates may be created to staff similar or identical positions with various linguistic requirements and/or profiles security requirements tenures and/or locations within the Office of the Superintendent of Financial Institutions (OSFI) which may vary according to the position being staffed.
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated professional to join our Data Collection Operations (DCO) the Regulatory Information Officer role you will support data collection from OSFI-regulated banks insurance companies and pension plans. You will work directly with our new cloud-based Suptech platform currently being launched as a cornerstone of our Data Collection Modernization Project.
Key Responsibilities
Deliver Bilingual Support: Provide high-quality assistance to regulated entities as they navigate the platform to submit regulatory data.
Resolve Complex Issues: Troubleshoot technical errors and functional hurdles; collaborate with Lead Supervisors Subject Matter Experts and Technical Specialists to ensure timely resolutions.
Platform Administration: Manage the data collection environment including the configuration of reporting entities groups schedules and filing exceptions.
Support System Evolution: Partner with the development team to create new data collections modify existing data collections update validation rules and conduct rigorous testing.
Compliance Oversight: Assist in the administration of late-filing penalties to ensure adherence to regulatory timelines.

A degree OR diploma from a recognized post-secondary institution.
OR

ESSENTIAL EXPERIENCE:
Significant* experience working in a client-service environment.
Significant* experience providing technical support to internal and external users of a data collection system.
Experience designing and developing forms within a data collection system.
Experience developing and implementing data validation rules.
* Significant is defined as the depth and breadth of the experience normally associated with the performance of the duties for a period of 3 years.
