  • Location:Currently based in Coffs Harbour with the possibility of future relocation to the Development Coordination Authority based in Parramatta (hybrid working arrangements considered)

What youll be doing:

As the Planning and Environment Services Manager you will play a pivotal role in overseeing and guiding the development of bushfire-prone land within the state. You will be responsible for ensuring that all development projects comply with relevant planning environmental and bushfire safety regulations and that the safety of the community and the environment is protected.

As our ideal candidate you will have:

  • Degree or Graduate Certificate in a relevant discipline.
  • Proven experience in managing people with a focus on planning and prioritisation.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • Ability to adapt to changing priorities and work under pressure.
  • A strategic thinker who can motivate and inspire a team.
  • Firefighting and or fire behaviour knowledge skills and experience.
