Roles and Responsibilities:
Project Director Owns the project and takes full responsibility & accountability for the outcome even when things dont go as planned. Empowers the PMs to take ownership of their own projects and finds the right balance to step in and actively support as needed. Creates a clear vision and establishes the right priorities for the entire project team to deliver on SQDC at a portfolio level. Creates a healthy team atmosphere where collaboration inclusion and trust are encouraged and ideas can be shared openly. Applies active listening to gain broader perspective for improved project outcomes.
Project Integration: Integrates foundational knowledge of project execution disciplines (scheduling plant design construction cost etc.) to forecast potential issues make sound judgements and define the right execution strategy at a project level.
EHS Leadership: Promotes and imposes GEVs Safety Toolkit and overall EHS standards on project team partner and subcontractor. Makes no compromise on EHS and can take tough decisions with customer partner and subcontractor when GEVs standards are not met.
Execution/Revenue & Margin: Lead Project delivery in Region to achieve Revenue and Margin on revenue for GSI business. Margin on sales are further improved by way of PMRs and mitigation of various risks i.e. LDs Overruns etc which may arise during the execution of the projects. Your role is to have a continuous check on possible and emerging risks and necessary risk mitigation action during the project cycle. Timely execution of the project is key to success and person shall engage in customer and other stake holders to solve critical and strategic problems related to the delivery of project.
Cash Focus: Position demands that a continuous reconciliation of the project cost books is done with financial controllers. Timely Invoicing and collection of payments from customer and monitoring the Past Dues.
Measuring KPIs/Milestones: Ensuring Ontime delivery of projects and continuous monitoring of the various KPIs in coordination with various stakeholders of delivery model i.e. Project controls Engineering Procurement and Construction.
Qualifications/Requirements:
Engineering degree from an accredited university or college
At least 10 years experience in leading the execution of complex infrastructure projects in challenging environments
Hands on experience of working on a HVDC project in live or close-out phase
Experience in managing large projects
Experience of Health and Safety leadership in challenging project environments
