Job Summary: Dickies Arena is a 14000 seat spectacular multipurpose venue located adjacent to the Will Rogers Memorial Center campus in Fort Worth Texas. The arena is owned by the City of Fort Worth and managed by the not-for-profit operating entity Trail Drive Management Corp (TDMC). The state-of-the-art arena opened in November 2019 hosts concerts sporting events and family entertainment and is the new home to Fort Worth Stock Show rodeo performances.
TDMC is seeking multiple interns across various departments to dive into the fast-paced world of live entertainment. This is your chance to gain hands-on experience with the team that brings the arena to life.
Program Description: Participants of the internship program will be assigned to a specific department in the organization dependent upon field of study and opportunities available. Duties will be assigned based on department needs.
- Departments include:
- Operations
- Information Technology
- Parking
- Concessions
- Catering
- Security
- Finance
- Legal
- Human Resources
- Marketing
The internship program will run roughly from late May through August but does allow for some flexibility in start and end dates. Weekly hours may vary depending on the department and the event-based nature of the business. All internship opportunities are in-person.
Qualifications:
- Must be a minimum of 18 years of age.
- Must live within commutable distance of the arena or have local housing available for the duration of the internship.
- Must possess a valid drivers license.
- Must be enrolled in an accredited college university or certification program.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word Excel Outlook PowerPoint etc.)
- Ability to work a flexible schedule including nights weekends and holidays.
- Able to communicate effectively with management guests and team members.
- Ability to handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced high-energy environment.
Working Conditions:
- Employees will work in an environment with fluctuating temperatures.
- Employees will regularly spend their shift standing/walking traveling stairs with limited to no sitting at times.
- Employees will be exposed to high noise levels and/or fluctuating lights in event settings.
- Employees must have the ability to reach lift and bend to perform job duties throughout the shift.
- Employees may be exposed to hazards associated with moving vehicles and require strict adherence to safety protocols.
