Roads Delivery Administrator
Job Summary
This post is a Job Share for 14 hours per week.
The Network Administration team is responsible for providing administrative support to the various teams within the Roads Delivery Directorate of Transport Scotland.
This post will be responsible for the administration work necessary to take forward an allocation of all tasks carried out by the Admin team this includes but is not limited to processing permanent and temporary Traffic Regulation Orders abnormal load applications Damage to Crown property cases and third party claims. You may also be required to arrange car hire hospitality book transport and accommodation as required for colleagues and act as Requisitioner for any such orders through the Scottish Governments electronic ordering and payment system.
You will also be required to provide cover for colleagues to maintain the overall resilience of the Admin team. Full training will be provided.
- You will be required to build and maintain good working relationships with professional colleagues internally and externally.
- You will be responsible for managing your own workload ensuring your tasks are completed timeously and accurately.
- You will work collaboratively with colleagues to maintain mailboxes for teams within the Directorate. You will be required to become proficient in all tasks carried out by the team and take on ad hoc long and / or short term tasks to support the team or colleagues in the Directorate as and when required

This post is based inGlasgow with hybrid working in line with current Transport Scotland policies. You will be expected to be office based a minimum oftwice per week pro rata.
Security checks
Successful candidates must complete the Baseline Personnel Security Standard (BPSS) before they can be appointed. BPSS is comprised of four main pre-employment checks Identity Right to work Employment History and a Criminal Record check (unspent convictions).
